The Un-colourable Colouring Book.

 

Over Easter ash the height of chocolate eating the idea was to tell kids to brush their teeth in a fun way. So we brought the subject by letting kids discover for themselves the effects of chocolaty treats if they don’t brush their theeth.

The idea is simple, just a coating over the easter bunny teeth that makes impossible for kids to paint over it. Brushing the teeth will keep them always white no matter what.

First Great Western was on a mission to show the
commuters that they care about the west. With the brand Mission being “We’re building a greater west” they decided to un-brand the rail and return it to it’s original name Great Western Railway which was founded in 1833.

We Kicked off with a white poster using the First Great Western logo and overnight we vandalises the 48 sheet with green graffiti spray, after the idea was to replace a couple of paper sheets everyday revealing the UN-BRANDING stratagey.

Brand Manifesto

We want to get the commuters attention and express our intentions so we created a manifesto that was more than advertising but a full statement of intent. The Ad got national attention and was placed in several major publications.

 

A FILM ABOUT A BENCH

The iconic GWR bench can be spotted in several old stations across the west and in fact it is still in production by independent manufacturers and it is sold as memorabilia to railways lovers. But with the return of GWR we made a big order to this manufacturer in order to bring it back into to the newer stations. 

The process of making these haven't changed since they were first introduced into to the stations. During the process of getting the benches made we decided that it would make a beautiful film.

The rail employees don’t change through different franchises, some work in the rail for more than 50 years surviving the privatisation. They have a passion for what they do and believe that they are the ones who make the rail better.
 
In order to un-brand the rail and create a campaign that could be trusted was a natural step to bring these characters as ambassadors of the change.
